The SCC is one of the founding members of the International Partnership For Dogs (IPFD), an international organization dedicated to dog health and well-being established 2014 further to the 1st International Dog Health Workshop held in Stockholm, on 2nd and 3rd of June 2012. The IPFD is a nonprofit organization registered in Sweden.

The mission of the IPFD is to facilitate international cooperation and sharing of resources to enhance the health and well-being not only of purebred dogs, but also of all dogs worldwide.

Different partners are involved in this project : the FCI, the national kennel clubs (from Finland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, United-Kingdom, France, and more recently Ireland and the United States with the AKC), as well as other stakeholders involved in dog health such as the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, the Swedish insurance company Agria Pet Insurance and Vet Compass.

The IPFD hopes that numerous other stakeholders of the dog world will join the organization in the next years (experts, industry partners, welfare organizations , etc.)

DogWellNet is the internet platform of the IPFD, a scientific reference on dog health, as well as a forum of exchange on the subject of actions taken by the different kennel clubs.

The platform was launched at the occasion of the 2nd International Dog Health Workshop in Dortmund, 14th and 15th of February 2015. More than 125 delegates from 18 countries attended the event: representatives of national and international canine organizations, judges, breeders, veterinarians, geneticists, epidemiologists, etc.

The Société Centrale Canine (SCC) will host the 3rd IPFD International Dog Health Workshop in Paris in April 2017.
